AlbariñoVintage: 2020
Appellation: North Coast Winemaker Comments This interesting grape traces its origin to the Iberian Peninsula, and it continues to flourish today in Spain. This release was sourced from Solano County, where wine grapes have been grown for more than 100 years. The hallmarks of this aromatic white wine are consistent with Albariño’s elite heritage – crisp and dry with excellent balance. Floral and mineral aromatics lead to notes of citrus, lime and a hint of apricot skin and green melon. This style makes it ideal as a dry cocktail wine that carries through first courses and luncheons, especially seafood, crab cakes, oysters and fowl. This fruit was entirely cold fermented in stainless steel tanks to complete dryness and then allowed to age and evolve for six months prior to racking and bottling in the spring of 2021.
